Northwest Regional Style Custom Boathouse

This project focused on organic modernism. Starting with an integrated steel kitchen to bring the party to the lakeside. The mahogany deck accommodates up to 50 people and a band. MCM took time to design the details of this boathouse, including the Shou Sugi Ban process in the bathroom. Shou Sugi Ban is an ancient Japanese wood-preservation technique. This was an essential detail in the inspired style of both the boathouse and teahouse.
