Contemporary Boathouse and Tram
This waterfront boathouse was reimagined as a contemporary lakeside retreat, combining thoughtful detailing with durable, site-responsive construction. The remodel introduced new wood cladding, custom millwork, and an expanded floating deck designed for gathering and everyday enjoyment at the water’s edge, with generous openings that create a seamless connection between inside and out. The project also included the rehabilitation of the hillside tram, restoring reliable access between the main residence and the shoreline through structural and mechanical upgrades that enhance safety and performance. Together, the boathouse and tram improvements create a cohesive modern waterfront experience that emphasizes craftsmanship, materiality, and a strong connection to the surrounding landscape.
