1927 Mudler Lake House
The 1927 Mudler–Lake House is a historic Arts and Crafts residence originally designed by architect Wade Hampton Pipes for the Mudler family. MCM was brought on to thoughtfully remodel the property’s boathouse—a project that required both technical precision and a deep respect for historic preservation. Our team meticulously matched the boathouse to the main house, recreating architectural details to ensure a seamless, period-authentic appearance. At the same time, we collaborated with the homeowners to introduce playful modern touches, including a removable dance floor that allows the space to transform for entertaining. The result is a boathouse that honors its history while supporting contemporary living.
